Leftovers: Tasty or Trash - WSJ.com »
Fantastic WSJ article about how we use food. My best tip for leftovers is this: package them as a meal. I put the meal together in a container (or two) and mark it. Then either my husband or I eat it for lunch in the next day or two. We probably save over $800 (and that is a conservative estimate) by packing lunchs instead of buying daily. Also don’t forget that veggies are more forgiving in soup so if you have a bunch of things that are nearing their end, make a soup!
