Whole Foods is running a contest on Facebook for the best lunchbox ideas. For those that do not “like” things like that on FB below is the tip I put in for my best lunch box packing idea. What are your best ideas for making lunch boxes interesting? We could all use some inspiration as school starts soon!

I use a bento box lunch box for my four kids and the all time favorite lunch is a “Super Salad”. I vary the theme but pack a sturdy salad with a protein (tuna, canned salmon, tofu, feta, cubed cheese, taco filling, etc) and salad dressing on the side. One son loves croutons, one likes sliced baguettes, there are endless variations. With the Bento Boxes I always get the portion sizes right - no leftovers come home. Add a fruit and something crunchy and it is the perfect lunch!
